CHRISTIAN SCIENCE, THE LAW OF GOD

From the June 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE is defined by its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1), as "the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony." Let it be remembered, then, that Christian Science is the law of God. The conclusion follows that to understand Christian Science one must understand God's law.

Let us consider three questions concerning law. What is law? Where is law? Why is law?

First, what is law? Real law is the constituting, governing force of causative Mind. Law, then, expresses the activity of Mind. Being the force or energy of Mind, it is always coexistent and coactive with Mind.
