"GOD is to be understood, adored, and demonstrated." In this statement, which may be found in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 472), Mrs. Eddy lifts the thought of the reader at once into the realm of Mind. Since God is to be demonstrated, demonstration is primarily a mental or spiritual experience.
God is demonstrated by accepting and expressing His ideas, by reflecting Him; and the human need is met proportionably to the individual's actual demonstration of the spiritual qualities which characterize the child of God.
As we understand God to be Mind, and adore His presence to the extent of acknowledging naught else, His loving presence is demonstrated in our individual experience. In this true worship and demonstration are to be found genuine and lasting joy, peace, and satisfaction.
