It has been my privilege since the age of twelve years to be connected with the Christian Science movement—first as a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School, where I learned many lessons of Truth and Love and gained many true friends.
While still a pupil in the Sunday school, I suffered at one time from a severe attack of pneumonia. When we saw that we were not working out our problem correctly, my mother called in an earnest and faithful practitioner to handle the case. All in our home were students of Christian Science, which fact was most helpful. It was not an instantaneous healing, but a beautiful one, and one never to be forgotten. I was later told that the practitioner had remained at our home all night at the time of the so-called crisis, until the suggestion of death was broken, and, early in the morning, a complete healing resulted. There was no time of convalescence, and all rejoiced.
Later on, when I became of age, I was married to one who had been a pupil in the same Sunday school class. During times of stress and unemployment, a home was lovingly provided for us where we could work out the problems connected with this seemingly general condition. The lessons learned are many, and the blessings which have come to our home are too numerous to mention.
