This is in grateful acknowledgment of a healing, which has been permanent, that I received when attending a Christian Science lecture some time ago.
Every year I suffered at about the same time from very bad attacks of influenza. After I took up the study of Christian Science the attacks were less violent, but they still presented themselves and had to be reckoned with, until I attended this lecture, when my vision of the Christ as ever present and available became so clear that I was healed.
On the day of the lecture I had awakened with one of these attacks. It was a very cold night, and I had to go seven miles by bus, but although I could hardly drag myself to the church where the lecture was to be held, I felt I must go, since I was on the lecture committee of the branch church.
