It is with joy and gratitude for...

From the September 1941 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is with joy and gratitude for what I have received from the study and application of Christian Science that I desire to share some of those blessings with others.

I found Christian Science answered my deep desire and search for something which would solve the inexplicable problem that human life seemed to present, and give satisfying answers to the constant questions troubling my thought.

After my first glimpse of Science, I turned for help in solving a problem to a sister, already a student of this Science, and received abundant proof of its efficacy. This was before I fully understood just how the wonderful results obtained came about. The moment I began to read our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I knew I had found the truth which would meet all my need. Shortly afterward I received an instantaneous healing of a digestive complaint which had troubled me nearly all my life. The simple words of the first member of our family to become interested in Christian Science, "To Truth there is no obstruction; all is Truth," so illumined my consciousness that the trouble vanished, never to return. This was well over twenty years ago. This clear illustration of the enlightening and quickening effect which the truth, spoken with understanding, may have when falling on a heart prepared to receive Christ, Truth, remains to inspire me to this day.
