The testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel have been such a source of inspiration to me that for a long time I have wanted to contribute my bit. I first became interested in Christian Science over thirty years ago when my mother was healed of a serious ailment after an operation that had left her worse than before. My uncle was a physician; consequently, we had a great deal of medical attention. I was just a child at the time, but my mother's healing made a deep impression on me, and I have never ceased to be very grateful to God and to Christian Science.
I too have been healed through the study and application of Christian Science. Frequent bilious attacks, nervousness, blood poisoning in my hand, a tendency to take cold, and many other ailments, all have been healed by Christian Science. My fifteen-year-old daughter has had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School all her life. God has been her only physician.
I found that I progressed much faster after I joined The Mother Church and a branch church. I am happy to be of service to our great Cause in a small way. We have also been wonderfully protected in times of danger. I am truly grateful for problems, because I now look on them as growing times instead of afflictions. Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care," and I have found this to be true.
