Until about ten years ago my concept of God was very vague. A dear relative spoke many times to my mother and to me of Christian Science, indicating to us that its teachings had satisfactorily solved many problems for her by giving her the right concept of God and His creation.
Near the end of the year 1932, my experiences were becoming very unsatisfying to me, and my heart cried out for something higher and finer than I had known. I was working in a bank at the time, and one fall day, in answer to a telephone call, I found myself talking to a Christian Scientist who was calling to get the amount of the balance that was in a Sunday school fund.
After hanging up the receiver I clung to the thought of Christian Science, and knew that in it lay the answer to my heart's desire for help. I had seen and heard what it had done for others, and understood that this was accomplished in the same way that the Master had accomplished his healing works. I knew from my small acquaintance with the Bible that his was the most thorough and finished method of lining up a life in accordance with Principle.
