Christian Science was introduced to me at a time of great need by a dear friend, who asked me if I would read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was very much interested it. However, in less than three months I was instantaneously healed when a splinter, which had pierced my finger nail, came away without pain. The words which came to me were: I know very little about Christian Science, but I do know it teaches that no harm can come to God's children. God is ever-present Love.
Before Christian Science came to me, I had been having treatment from several doctors for eczema and inflammation of the veins in the legs, and had been informed that if I did not rest I should not be able to walk. I was always in pain and was told that ulceration might set in. I am very grateful to say that with the help of a practitioner I was healed. The healing was slow, but there was much error to be overcome in my thinking.
I was also instantaneously healed of an abscess under the arm, a condition for which I had been operated upon several times before. The abscess opened and the core came away painlessly. That was twenty years ago, and I have never had any return of this trouble.
