Many healings have taken place in our home since my first testimony was published in the Christian Science Sentinel of June 13, 1931, and I should like to relate two of them.
On my return home one afternoon I found our son suffering from a badly swollen and discolored ankle. He was quite upset, for he was due to be at his work within an hour and there was no one to relieve him. A practitioner was called for help, and our son was at his post at the appointed time, able to do all the running around required of him. He was also able to eat his dinner before leaving the house, although he had been unable to eat all day because he was so uncomfortable.
A more recent healing of our little daughter of measles in a very severe form, accompanied by hemorrhages, was great cause for rejoicing. The clear mental work done by the practitioner and the child's earnest endeavor to learn more about God through reading the Psalms and the Lord's Prayer, and listening to the Lesson-Sermon each day, brought a marked improvement in her Sunday school work and schoolwork, especially in reading.
