My heart overflows with gratitude to God for Christian Science. Because I have proved in my own experience its efficacy in healing and restoring happiness, I joyfully add my testimony to that of thousands of others who also have found that through the application of the teachings of Christ Jesus, as explained and taught in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, all manner of ills can be cured.
Before turning to Christian Science for help, I suffered from arthritis, for which I had been treated for several years without permanent relief. I was told by an eminent physician that there was no sure help for my case. I also suffered from an internal trouble, which necessitated a serious operation. As a result of the operation, I was taking medicines for a nervous condition and as a substitute for a glandular deficiency that was causing further difficulties.
Some months later another condition, which was similar to the one that had necessitated the operation, began to develop. Since I had heard much about the dreadful effects of a second such operation, I was afraid to let the doctors know the extent of the trouble, which continued to get worse during the following year.
