My heart is filled with gratitude to God for Christian Science and I humbly bear testimony to many healings and blessings received through its application.
For ten or more years I had suffered from what the doctors called bleeding piles. After I had tried practically every known material remedy for relief without results, my brother-in-law, a Christian Scientist, asked if I should like to read the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I read this book and he treated me in Science. In three weeks the healing was complete, and at the same time a bowel condition was healed.
My mother was healed in Science of a stroke in two treatments. When she was eighty years of age she fell and broke her hip. My brothers insisted that a doctor be called, and he sent her to the hospital. The doctors, however, stated that nothing could be done for her because of her age. They told us that the bones would not knit, and that she would live one or two days at the most. My mother asked to be taken home from the hospital and to be given Christian Science help. This was done, and in a very short time she was using both limbs as well as ever. A running sore from which she was also suffering was healed at the same time.
