"AS WE FORGIVE"

From the September 1946 issue of The Christian Science Journal

O Love divine,
Who guides our stumbling feet
On homeward paths returning,
Forgive us now, we pray,
For our wayward steps today,
For hasty words and thoughts unkind,
For foolish fears and tired tears,
For love we failed to give—
And take.
Forgive us now
For thy name's sake,
And teach us to forgive.

O tender, outstretched arms of Love,
Embracing all,
We need not plead—
Our only need
To love, and love again,
Grateful to find,
Wherever Love abides,
There is no condemnation,
No imperfection,
Only the reflection
Of the one
And perfect Mind.
