PATIENCE

From the February 1947 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Patience. The word lies calm and sweet before me,
Silencing now all sense of urgency.
Patience of God, so tender, so forgiving,
Granting, each hour, fresh opportunity.
May I be patient, friend, with thee—and me.
