Having been a student of Christian Science for many years, and having been greatly blessed by the testimonies of others, I feel it is a great privilege to offer my tithe of gratitude through our periodicals for this liberating and inspiring truth.
I should like to share an experience of healing which I had through the application of "the scientific statement of being" given in our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 468). A window fell with great force upon my hand. The pain was intense. A friend standing near by at the time offered material help. This I refused, and after thanking her I left the room repeating "the scientific statement of being" understandingly. The pain ceased at once, and though an ugly mark remained it soon disappeared and I was entirely free. This experience brought me a great sense of spiritual illumination, and much added confidence in my ability to help myself. At that time the help of a Christian Science practitioner, or of another student of Science, was unavailable.
I am deeply grateful for the instantaneous healing of grief when a much loved son passed on.
