I am ceaselessly grateful for the innumerable blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science and for the many wonderful healings I have experienced and witnessed through its ever present healing power.
About sixteen years ago I had my introduction to Christian Science. One Sunday morning, out of curiosity, I attended a service of a Christian Science Society in the town where I had come to live. I was very much impressed with the service and particularly with "the scientific statement of being," which was read from the desk from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 468). After the service I borrowed the book from the library.
By the time I had read the Preface and the chapter on Prayer I knew that this was the truth, and I looked forward to attending my second service on the following Sunday. However, by that time I was in the throes of my annual attack of bronchitis. As I read on in the book I realized that these unpleasant experiences need not come. For the ten years following I had no sign of this illness.
