It is with gratitude in my heart that I offer this testimony to the healing efficacy of Christian Science and the joyous way of life which opens up to those who learn to listen to the still small voice of God and obediently walk in the way of divine leading.
No human hand led me to take my initial steps in Christian Science a little more than five years ago. I now gratefully acknowledge that God's hand led me. I was grief-stricken over my elder son's apparently hopeless case of invalidism and despondency of mind. He was in a government hospital. I was awakened from sleep one night by what I now recognize as the voice of Truth saying to me, "Try Christian Science."
I knew nothing about this Science at the time, and no member of my family was interested in it. I had no friends or acquaintances who knew of its teachings. There was no church or society in the town in which I lived. I had, however. heard that there were Christian Science practitioners, who did healing work. I arose and began to make preparations to go to a small city about eighty miles distant. I expected to find a practitioner there because I had noticed a window display of Christian Science literature in that city at one time.
