Learning to understand God better and man's relation to Him, through the study and application of Christian Science, has been my greatest blessing. I have been inspired and encouraged so many times that I want to express my gratitude by testifying to some of the blessings that I have received.
This Science has met my every need since I was about ten. My parents and grandparents were deeply religious, so that I early learned to turn to God for support and to the Bible for comfort and instruction. However, I was always sickly and timid. I was introduced to Christian Science through my mother's healing after eighteen years of semi-invalidism. Since then the other members of the family, their children, and I have relied upon it entirely.
My first healing took place when a chemical got into my eyes. At the time I was away from home with friends who were not interested in what they thought Christian Science was. They were greatly concerned, but instantly the statement came to me that I had heard read from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 471), "God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence." Calmness filled my thought. I asked to be taken home, called a practitioner, and by morning I could see clearly.
