Christian Science is truly a religion of great joy. I have had every opportunity to prove this.
A long time ago, when I first found Science, attended the Sunday School, and later became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, I found a joy that seemed a part of my very being, and it never went away, in spite of all types of trials and human problems which had to be worked out.
A few years ago a tragic experience occurred in my household, due in part to the subtle mesmerism of war, and where there had been so much joy there was nothing now but total darkness. The sense of loss seemed greater than it would have been if a sense of death had had to be overcome.
