"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite...

From the November 1949 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." These words written in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (Pref., p. vii), I have found to be true, and my heart sings with gladness.

I depended on Christian Science for my needs in raising my children, and it never failed me. We lived in the foothills of Idaho, where there were supposed to be many dangers for little feet to get into. During these years in the summer months, when rattlesnakes were many, I always held to the truth that God would guard and guide the children. The same realization of God's great love for every idea protected two boys in the First World War and another in the one just passed.

I have been healed of headaches, coughs, and colds. Asthma took hold of me, but only one attack was suffered, for work was done in Science. This was four years ago. I am most grateful for the practitioner's treatment. Using the truth myself, at one time I was able to overcome the pain of a badly sprained ankle.
