COMPLETENESS THE TRUE BASIS OF EQUALITY

From the August 1949 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Every individual exists in reality as an idea in Mind, each equally endowed with all that God has and of equal importance to the all-loving Father-Mother God. This glorious fact becomes clearer and finds an ever larger measure of expression in the affairs of humanity as Christian Science compels the limited material sense of being to give place to the immortal facts regarding God's creation.

Mind's ideas, from the least to the greatest, are complete, for they are the expression of the one perfect creator. Infinite Mind cannot create an idea lacking anything, and man, the highest idea, the very image of God, cannot lack any quality of God.

"Masculine, feminine, and neuter genders are human concepts," writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 516 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Human concepts, by reason of their very nature, are incapable of showing forth the true nature of man in his completeness. It is therefore to the spiritual concept that we must look for what is actual regarding man.
