"Owe no man any thing, but to love one another" (Rom. 13:8). In obedience to this text, and in joyous and humble gratitude for Christian Science, I submit this testimony in payment of a debt long overdue.
In 1930 I began the study of Christian Science, and during the years since, my family and I have been protected from any serious illness. We were also protected from serious injury in an automobile accident.
My greatest need was not for physical healing, but for the healing of a completely wrong concept of God and His universe. My first glimpse of Truth came with the reading of the chapter on Prayer in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and was indeed a taste of heaven. Everything was illumined, and it was as though I were living in a new world. Since that time I have never doubted that Christian Science is the promised Comforter, nor have I doubted its efficacy in healing sickness and sin.
