Many years ago when I was a child, I was privileged to attend a Christian Science Sunday School for several months. I was much impressed by the spiritual truths taught me there, which brought about a healing of catarrh.
About this time our family made several moves, always to places where there was no Christian Science church or Sunday School. Later on we located in this small town, where I married and established a home. For several years I attended different orthodox churches, yet never joined one, as I always felt that Christian Science was the religion for me. During these years I owned the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and read it intermittently. I am most happy to say that I am now a member of The Mother Church.
The beginning of my earnest study came when I was suffering from what the doctors called a lymphatic abscess under the arm, which had been lanced every two weeks for five months. When I felt I could not bear it any longer, I told the doctor I was not coming back again. When I reached home I selected a practitioner from the Journal and wrote explaining my trouble. In four days the drainage stopped, the openings closed, and my arm was healed. Later I met the doctor, who asked about the arm. When I told him it was well, he said it was like a miracle. To say I am grateful for all the blessings and healings which have followed would not tell the least part of how I feel.
