Some time ago I was unable to work and was confined to my home with a complete nervous breakdown. I realized that my mother and brother, who are students of Christian Science, had something I needed and desired, and they helped me to get Christian Science treatment. There were many dark days, but I am very grateful today to be able to testify that I have gained in some measure the truer concept of day, which Mrs. Eddy defines as "the irradiance of Life; light, the spiritual idea of Truth and Love" on page 584 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
This spiritual unfolding has illuminated my thinking and given me complete freedom from the condition. I am grateful to say that I have been able to return to my former position, and my healing has been recognized by those with whom I work. I am sincerely grateful for the practitioners who helped me along the way, but grateful most of all for the fact that my true selfhood, as a child of God, was finally revealed to me through the study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, which were established by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The importance of the daily study of these Lesson-Sermons was brought out to me by a practitioner who was helping me at that time. The realization that I must be "about my Father's business" has given me joy and gratitude in my business activity. Through the realization, also, that man dwells in the divine consciousness, which is Love, I have been able to demonstrate a better sense of home.
I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for the privilege of serving on committees. The magnitude of the spiritual truth discovered by Mrs. Eddy is becoming increasingly apparent to me, for which I am most grateful.— Atlanta, Georgia.
