The fact that Christian Science, rightly applied, will heal any discordant condition has been proved to me upon many occasions, and I am profoundly grateful.
I had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School from the age of four, and for this foundation in the truth I shall ever be grateful. Through the application of the teachings of Christian Science by my mother many discords of childhood were quickly healed. After leaving Sunday School, however, although I knew that Christian Science was the truth, I did not seem to receive the inspiration from its teaching that others enjoyed. My prayer at that time was that I might never drift away from this religion.
Several years later I left for Australia, taking our small son with me. When I arrived there, I discovered that my husband had been transferred to the Netherlands East Indies, but that I was to remain in Australia until it was deemed safe to follow. I stayed there for more than a year, and it was during this year that I learned to work out many problems through the teachings of Christian Science exclusively. For the love expressed and help given to me by a Christian Science practitioner and other Christian Scientists there, I am most grateful.
