In her Message to The Mother Church for 1900 Mary Baker Eddy writes (pp. 4, 5): "Do religionists believe that God is One and All? Then whatever is real must proceed from God, from Mind, and is His reflection and Science. Man and the universe coexist with God in Science, and they reflect God and nothing else. In divine Science, divine Love includes and reflects all that really is, all personality and individuality. St. Paul beautifully enunciates this fundamental fact of Deity as the 'Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.' This scientific statement of the origin, nature, and government of all things coincides with the First Commandment of the Decalogue, and leaves no opportunity for idolatry or aught besides God, good."
"One" is an important word in the vocabulary of Christian Science, which in conformity with the Mosaic declaration declares and teaches that God is one, all-inclusive, self-existent Mind, the one creative cause or intelligence. It declares that God is revealed as one eternal, uninterrupted Life; as one all-pervading, omnipresent Spirit; as Love, the only law and Principle of being; as Soul, the source and origin of all inspiration, beauty, and harmony; as Truth, the light and basis of all reality; as divine Principle, the essence of all government and law. All these synonyms interchangeably define the one Ego or I AM.
On page 3 of her book "Unity of Good," which deals specifically with God's oneness and allness, Mrs. Eddy writes: "God is All-in-all. Hence He is in Himself only, in His own nature and character, and is perfect being, or consciousness. He is all the Life and Mind there is or can be. Within Himself is every embodiment of Life and Mind."
