It is always a privilege to tell of another proof of the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science.
Several years ago while my husband and I were making a motor trip to the east coast, I was stricken with a severe pain in my right side. I worked and prayed earnestly to know the nothingness of the error, but there seemed to be no relief. After two days my husband became quite alarmed and expressed much fear and concern. I asked if we could drive directly to Boston, stating that if I could but attend a service in The Mother Church, I would be healed. After driving steadily for a day and night, we arrived in Boston in time for the Wednesday evening testimony meeting. It was a wonderful meeting. That night in great humility I turned to our dear Father and prayed for a greater understanding. Immediately I realized what I had done in holding on to error by thinking that I had to get to Boston before I could be healed. Awakened by this flood of light, I found my thoughts filled with the omnipresence and omnipotence of infinite Mind, and this passage from Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy came to thought (p. 473): "The God-principle is omnipresent and omnipotent. God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power."
A great sense of peace came to me and as the new day was dawning I retired and slept. Later I awakened greatly encouraged, although the error still persisted. Holding firmly to Principle, I arose and dressed. It seemed that my right leg was becoming difficult to use, but with assistance I was able to complete a most interesting and joyous tour of the Christian Science Publishing House.
