A few days before my marriage I was suddenly attacked by a nervous condition in the forehead and eyes. After two days I asked the help of a Christian Science practitioner, and work was taken up; but the condition continued. On the day before the wedding I had two bad attacks. I telephoned the practitioner and told her I could not go through with the arrangements for the next day, but she lovingly encouraged me to go forward and said that all would be well. As I put the receiver down I saw a Christian Science Hymnal at the bottom of my bed. I opened it to Hymn No. 427, and the first stanza drew my attention. I felt much comforted, and the next day I was able to carry on harmoniously with the arrangements. However, after the wedding I suffered another attack, but my husband and I at once denied the condition am reality, and since that time I have been free.
Another healing for which I am grateful is the overcoming of resentment toward one who had done me a great injustice. I cannot say how much I thank God for a better understanding of what The Mother Church stands for. To our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and to the practitioner who for over twenty years has given me so much loving help, I feel deeply thankful. It is with much gratitude that I verify my wife's testimony, as I was her constant companion during the physical difficulty of which she writes. I should also like to testify to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science as it has been manifested in my own experience.
