For the past twenty years Christian Science has been the guiding light in my life. When I have turned wholeheartedly to God my problems have without exception been met.
When I was twelve years old Christian Science was presented to me by a very dear cousin who had been comforted by this religion after her mother and father had passed on. She started taking me to church with her and gave me a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Christian Science was a ray of light and hope from the first, and I recognized it immediately as the religion for me. Besides attending church and Sunday School, I spent many hours studying at a Reading Room on my way home from school. Many healings were received, some through my own study and others with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, who was also a dear and faithful friend.
On a picnic I was accidentally hit in the cheek with a marshmallow which had just been taken glowing hot from the fire. This resulted in an ugly sore, but when work was taken up in Christian Science it was healed without a trace of a scar. At another time a blister on my heel was instantly healed when I called a practitioner for help. I wore my shoe immediately, although it had been impossible for me to do so a few minutes before.
