It is with joy and gratitude in my heart that I write this testimony, hoping that it may bless others as I have been blessed.
Almost thirty years ago Christian Science was brought to my attention through the instantaneous healing of my mother. After the physicians had said there was nothing they could do for her she decided to go to a practitioner, as friends who were students of this Science had told her that she need not be sick any longer. She was healed during her first visit to the practitioner's home. This was marvelous to me, and I was very much interested to know more about it, especially since Science is based on the Bible and its teachings are the same as those of Christ Jesus. I had always been a great lover of the Scriptural passages telling of his wonderful works.
I was healed of chronic constipation in a very severe form by reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Our eighteen-months-old daughter was also healed of the same condition, supposedly inherited. Another daughter was healed of a chronic bowel condition and of a crooked spinal column. A physician had said that unless we had spinal treatment for her the child would never be well and that one leg would always be shorter than the other. I knew that "with God all things are possible" and that the condition could be handled in Science. Work was taken up by a practitioner, and very shortly the healing came. This daughter has now grown to womanhood, having been free all the while from her former difficulties; and many comment on how straight she is and on what fine posture she has.
