"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matt. 11:29. 30). Through the teachings of Christian Science this promise of the Master's was made alive for me many years ago. My burden has indeed been lightened, and health and peace have been restored in innumerable instances through my striving to learn more about God.
I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School and early learned to apply the spiritual truths taught there to my academic and social activities. Christian Science has been invaluable to me in bringing up four children. So-called children's diseases were readily overcome with little or no suffering.
I recall an instance when I found one of my young children with an arm hanging useless at his side. Christian Science treatment was asked for, and on the third day the child used the arm with complete freedom. No material remedies of any kind were applied, and his normal routine was carried on.
