The full implication and practical effect of man's God-given dominion are sometimes lost to the student of the Bible. Mistaking the Adam and Eve allegory (Gen. 2 and 3) as the true account of creation beclouds for many the glorious promise of the preceding chapter, which refers to man as made in God's image and as having dominion over the earth. The dominion bestowed upon man by God is the birthright of unchangeable completeness. This dominion cannot be lost, impaired, or misdirected. It is never inoperative. It is not limited by person, space, or time. It is all-inclusive, and because it is supported by divine law, it is eternal.
This dominion is available to all who name the name of Christ and accept its revelation, which proves that evil, being without basis in Truth, is unreal. Dominion can be exercised in human experience as one understands man's perfect identity as the reflection of God, Mind, and uses spiritual, right ideas to replace false beliefs.
The student of Christian Science learns that no condition in his experience, however seemingly evil or real, is beyond the power of Truth to control, adjust, or remove and that he himself can feel the effect of this power without regard to what another thinks, says, or does.
