A Tribute

From the February 1956 issue of The Christian Science Journal

God's messenger—our Leader stands today,
Ordained of God to answer Truth's clear call,
To show again the Master's healing works
And bring the promised Comforter to all.
Thus God-endowed, she faced a doubting world,
And knew opposing creeds and fears must fall.

Swift to obey, strong to endure, she dared
To seek the way through storm and darkest night;
The hidden foe, and serpent's sting unheeding,
To gain, with love-filled heart, the Horeb height.
Chosen of God she stood and heard His voice—
And of that glory gave to us the light.

Through her, true prophecy has been unsealed;
Christ's Science stands supreme, by her revealed.
