It would take pages to tell of all the healings of discord and disease that I have experienced through the application of the truth, as revealed to us in Christian Science, and for which I am profoundly grateful. One healing which blessed many came through the working out of a problem in human relationships.
Over a long period of years there was much disturbance over the matter of an estate settlement in which I was involved. An irrevocable deed of trust had been executed and had been signed by all the heirs. The one who had made the deed of trust said many times that she wished it were different, but she appeared unable to do anything about it. This led me to do some diligent work according to my understanding of Christian Science and to ask help of a practitioner.
At the time designated for the distribution of the estate, the case came into court. Even here there appeared to be no way of bringing a proper settlement, but work in Christian Science was continued. Then one memorable day while we were listening to the court proceedings a sense of fear possessed me. Almost instantly came the angel thought (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 412): "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death." Then these words from the Bible came strongly to me (I Chron. 29: 11): "Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all."
