TESTIMONY MEETINGS
Meetings at which testimonies of Christian Science healing are given, are held in Christian Science churches on Wednesdays. A cordial invitation to attend these meetings, as well as the Sunday services, is extended to all. Information telling where and when these are held is given in the Directory in The Christian Science Journal.
HEAR THE TUESDAY EVENING MEETING HELD IN THE MOTHER CHURCH
Every member of The Mother Church or one of its branches will have the opportunity to hear the inspiring message of the Tuesday Evening Meeting held in the Extension of The Mother Church on June 4, by means of a tape recording of the meeting.
Addresses were given by five speakers. The theme of the meeting was "Today's Challenge to the Christian Scientist."
The chairman of the meeting, Mrs. Helen Wood Bauman, C. S. B., of Boston, Massachusetts, Associate Editor of the religious periodicals, gave the keynote address entitled "Am I Putting God First?"
George Nay, C. S., of Chicago, Illinois, a member of the Board of Lectureship and a practitioner of long experience, spoke on the subject "Am I Spreading the Gospel?"
Mrs. Katherine Ross, C. S., of New York, New York, a practitioner of Christian Science, took as her subject "Am I Doing My Part in the Healing Work?"
James Spencer, C. S., of Miami, Florida, who has served as a Chaplain in the United States Army, gave a most helpful paper in answer to the question, "Am I Doing All I Can for Young People?"
The closing address by Mrs. Elisabeth F. Norwood, C. S. B., of Brookline, Massachusetts, who has served our Cause in many capacities, spoke on the question, "Am I Upholding Our Leader's Work as Founder?"
A tape recording in English may be borrowed without charge by any branch of The Mother Church, to be presented at a special members' meeting. Translations in German, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Swedish will be available in manuscript form, to be borrowed by churches which need them. It is customary for a branch church holding such a meeting to invite members of other branch churches, as well as members of The Mother Church in the area it serves. In places where there is no branch church or society within a reasonable distance, a group of members of The Mother Church may arrange to hold a meeting to hear the tape recording or the manuscript translation.
Application cards and other information may be had by writing to the Department of Branches and Practitioners, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts, U.S.A. A request for the tape recording should be accompanied by a tentative list of suitable dates covering a period of at least two months.
OUR LEADER'S COUNSEL REGARDING CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
In writing to a branch church regarding its dedication, Mary Baker Eddy lovingly counseled, "May God's little ones cluster around this rock-ribbed church like tender nestlings in the crannies of the rocks, and preen their thoughts for upward flight" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 186). This loving counsel is for all time and is extended to earnest students of Christian Science throughout the world.
Twice each year applicants who are ready for membership in The Mother Church are admitted by The Christian Science Board of Directors in accordance with the requirements of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.
Application blanks and information concerning membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, or from clerks of branch churches and societies. Applications may also be obtained from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

OF SPECIAL INTEREST TO COLLEGE STUDENTS
A meeting to consider and further the mission and purpose of Christian Science Organizations, formed in accordance with Article XXIII, Section 8, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, is planned for September 5, 6, and 7, 1957, in Boston.
The first one of these meetings was held in 1955, and the event proved so helpful that The Christian Science Board of Directors has approved of plans for another. The activities of college and university organizations affect the spiritual progress of the individual student, the leavening of thought in the entire academic community, the future growth of the Church of Christ, Scientist, as well as the development of world thinking; and they have grown in significance in recent years.
Through their participation in Christian Science Organizations, many college students have experienced proof of the utility of the moral and spiritual culture of Christian Science and have found that Science elevates and purifies all who practice its religious tenets. During the forthcoming three-day meeting in the original edifice of The Mother Church, students will enjoy listening to and sharing with others from different parts of the world experiences of healing and progress.
Any student who is a member of The Mother Church and who is enrolled in a college or university during the academic year of 1956-1957 or who will be enrolled during the academic year of 1957-1958 is invited to attend. Also, members of The Mother Church who have had or will have faculty or instructor status in a college or university during either of the above-mentioned academic years are eligible to be present. Organization advisors or sponsors are welcome as observers.
Complete details regarding the meeting are being forwarded directly to the college organizations and to Christian Science college organization information committees in branch churches and societies. Inquiries may be addressed to the Department of Branches and Practitioners, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.
NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS
Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with the heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested always to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly. Women are requested to use the title "Miss" or "Mrs." as the fact may be, and to use their Christian names. The co-operation of correspondents is solicited.
