I have had so many blessings through the application of Christian Science that I should like to express my gratitude by relating an interesting experience which I had about three years ago. For a long time I had desired greatly to visit the Holy Land and to see the country where Jesus performed his miracles and talked with his disciples. One day my attention was attracted by an advertisement in The Christian Science Monitor of a tour to the Holy Land to be conducted by a Bible student.
Since this person lived near my home, I arranged an interview to discuss the trip. From the financial point of view, the trip appeared as impossible as the feeding of the five thousand in Jesus' time with a few loaves and fishes. However, I purchased the book describing this trip and knew that nothing is impossible with God.
While I was studying the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly one day, I found the Bible passage which reads (Isa. 29:5), "Yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly." At that very moment I received a telephone call from a friend whom I had not seen for some time. She asked if I should like a ticket for a two months' cruise in the Mediterranean with trips to points ashore, including the Holy Land. She stated that she and a companion had arranged to leave in a week, but that the companion was unable to go.
