"I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do" (John 17:4). In these words Christ Jesus prayed to his Father-Mother God just prior to his betrayal. He had accomplished his mission and was ready for the crucifixion and the resurrection, which were to prove life to be eternal.
During his earthly experience, and especially during his three years of intensive missionary activity, he glorified God on the earth. He glorified Him in healing the sick, in reforming the sinner, and in raising the dead. He glorified Him in introducing to humanity the gospel of peace, salvation, and healing.
Mary Baker Eddy declares in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 41), "The proofs of Truth, Life, and Love, which Jesus gave by casting out error and healing the sick, completed his earthly mission."
