Christian Science is a religion of joy, and I am so very grateful for the change it has made in my life. Resentment, hate, rebellion, have been overcome through its study and with the help of Christian Science practitioners.
I am grateful too for the many physical healings that have come about through my own understanding. The more I study Christian Science, the more I realize that the teachings of the Bible and of Science and Health and the other writings of Mary Baker Eddy lead the way to happiness, harmony, and heavenly joy.
The first healing that came about through my own study of this Science was that of a severe cold. All the distressing symptoms vanished instantly while I was studying the Bible Lesson, outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly. This passage from Science and Health arrested my thought (p. 287): "Did God, Truth, create error? No! 'Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?'" It was the unreserved acceptance of this truth, then and there, that brought about the healing.
