It is with sincere gratitude for Christian Science that this testimony is given, and I hope it will be helpful to others who may be struggling with problems similar to those I faced a few years ago.
I had gone to my daughter's home for the week end, and after my arrival I became so ill that she called a physician. He diagnosed my case as a serious liver condition.
The following morning I was admitted to a hospital which took care of maritime personnel. Here many tests were made because of the malignant nature of the disease. Later I learned that the doctors found that I was also suffering from ascites, jaundice, and hemorrhoids. One evening after the lights were out, I found myself repeating the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation, given in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (pp. 16, 17).
