Since the publication of my previous testimony in the Journal, May, 1934, our family has received many blessings through the application of the truths of Christian Science in the way of healings of so-called children's diseases, broken bones, scarlet fever, and stammering. Home and business problems have also been solved.
In 1940, I was left alone to support myself and our two young sons. Since I had not done office work for fifteen years, the thought of going back into the business world and of the responsibility of putting two boys through school was frightening.
Early one morning, with the two children and the dog in the car, I left home and drove in an easterly direction, without any destination in thought. I realized that only God could tell me what to do and where to go.
