The Christian Science Board of Directors announces the election of Bruce G. McCauley, C.S., of Honolulu, Hawaii, to the position of Manager of The Christian Science Publishing Society, effective March 1, to fill the vacancy caused by the passing of John H. Hoagland, C. S. B., who served in that office from 1944.

Mr. McCauley has been assistant to the president of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, whose subsidiaries include the Star-Bulletin Printing Company, Hawaiian Broadcasting System, Ltd., and the Hilo Tribune-Herald. Prior to joining the Star-Bulletin, Mr. McCauley had been executive vice-president of the Shand and Jurs Company, of Berkeley, California.

Mr. McCauley is a former member of the engineering and business administration faculty at the University of California. He is a member of the American Management Association, National Association of Accountants, and the Institute of Newspaper Controllers and Finance Officers. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. McCauley attended The Principia lower school, high schools in Missouri and Colorado, the University of Missouri, Yale University, and the University of California, from which he holds master's degrees in business administration and industrial engineering.
