TUESDAY EVENING MEETING
Following the Christ
The joyful message on the above subject was presented at the Tuesday Evening Meeting held in the extension of The Mother Church on June 8, 1965, the day following the Annual Meeting. A loving invitation is extended to all branches of The Mother Church throughout the world to share this message with their members and with other members of The Mother Church by means of tape recording.
Every Christian Scientist, desiring to behold more of the Christ in his daily walk and conversation, in church activities, and in world affairs, will welcome the opportunity to attend this meeting when presented in his community.
The Christian Scientists who addressed the meeting considered four aspects of the theme entitled "Following the Christ."
The initial talk, "'The living Christ, the practical Truth,'" was given by Mrs. Elizabeth Vera Gorringe, C.S.B., of London, England.
Arnold H. Exo, C. S. B., of Chicago, Illinois, considered the subject of "Following the Christ in Our Individual Lives."
Mrs. Edna May Evans White, C. S. B., of Portland, Oregon, spoke from her own fruitful experience as a branch church member on the topic "Following the Christ in Church Activities."
The closing address, entitled "Following Our Leader as She Follows Christ," was delivered by Roy Garrett Watson, C. S. B., of Brookline, Massachusetts.
Tape recordings in English, French, German, or Spanish for presentation at a special members' meeting may be borrowed without charge by any branch church, society, or Christian Science organization at a university or college. Where there is no nearby branch, an informal group of members of The Mother Church may apply to hold such a meeting. Also available are manuscript translations in French, German, and Spanish, as well as in Danish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, and Swedish.
For application cards and further information please address the Department of Branches and Practitioners, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 02115. Included in each application should be a tentative list of suitable dates covering a period of at least two months.

OF SPECIAL INTEREST TO COLLEGE STUDENTS
A three-day meeting to consider and advance the mission of the Christian Science organizations at colleges and universities, formed in accordance with Article XXIII, Section 8, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, will be held in Boston in The Mother Church on August 26, 27, and 28, 1965.
The 1965 meeting will consider how the activities of Christian Science organizations promote the moral and spiritual education of the individual student; what Christian Science college organizations contribute to the spiritual enlightenment of the academic community and to the growth of the Church of Christ, Scientist; why organizations are vital to the development of world thinking and international understanding. Specific thought will be given to many basic questions, student needs, career planning, responsibilities of citizenship, successful marriage and family life, and many aspects of college life.
Travel expenses are borne by the students themselves, although a good many will gratefully receive loving help from parents, alumni, friends, and local branch churches.
Students who are members of The Mother Church and who are enrolled in a college or university during the academic year 1964-65, or who will be enrolled during the academic year 1965-66, are invited to attend. Also, members of The Mother Church who have faculty or instructor status during either of the aforementioned academic years are eligible to be present. Organization advisors who are members of The Mother Church are welcome as observers.
Complete details regarding the 1965 meeting are being forwarded to the college organizations and to Christian Science college organization information committees in branch churches and societies. Inquiries may be addressed to the College Organization Division, Department of Branches and Practitioners, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 02115.
FUND FOR ARMED SERVICES ACTIVITIES
The thousands of Christian Scientists in the armed services, who are serving their respective countries throughout the world, are being helped by The Mother Church through the Fund for Armed Services Activities.
Christian Science Ministers are paid from this Fund. These workers conduct Christian Science services, give treatments, and visit and work with those in veterans' hospitals who seek and rely wholly on Christian Science for healing. They contact the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who indicate Christian Science as their religious preference, giving them Service Edition sets of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and, in the case of young recruits, helping them to adjust to their military experience. Quantities of authorized Christian Science literature are distributed among the Armed Forces personnel.
The scope of the work is great, for The Mother Church has Christian Science Ministers and field workers placed in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, Korea, and other countries. During the past year, approximately $300,000 was expended to carry on this work.
Contributions are welcome and should be sent to Roy Garrett Watson, Treasurer, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. 02115.
