EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION

From the August 1965 issue of The Christian Science Journal

MASS media—television, radio, newspapers, and motion pictures—dwell often upon ideas that have transformed some facet of human existence. It is axiomatic that our experience consists largely of entertaining ideas, or concepts, and that to be successful, we must present them effectively or utilize them wisely. Of course, there is nothing complicated about ideas. They are ever at hand and lend themselves to our acceptance.

Christian Science, however, distinguishes between spiritual ideas and human concepts. It reveals that spiritual ideas emanate from Deity and are complete, immutable, eternal. One who turns to God, divine Mind, for inspiration is certain to be freed from limitation and blessed with His fresh, spontaneous ideas. These in turn transform one's human concepts and therefore one's experience. A single human concept gained through the transforming power of a spiritual idea may help to bring success to an enterprise or to rescue an organization from inefficiency.

Over and over it has been demonstrated that he who entertains spiritual ideas is enriched and that these ideas are applicable to every phase of human experience. The law of God, divine Principle, is a law of harmony and perfection to His own spiritual ideas. But it operates also as a law of harmony and perfection to the human sense of things. Mrs. Eddy succinctly states (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies."
