I had been searching for a better understanding of God for many years but without success, although I constantly prayed for the health and happiness I seemed to lack. Then, when I fell ill while on holiday, a member of my family gave me Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to read. I saw immediately that this was the answer to my search, and my first attendance at a Sunday morning service of a Christian Science Society confirmed this.
About three months later I was healed of rheumatism, which had persisted for several years and had severely impeded me in the use of one of my feet. How grateful I was after my first fearless walk on a wet day to find my body harmonious and my heart full of joy! This healing took place over eight years ago and has been permanent.
