That God is Love, and that we love Him...

From the October 1975 issue of The Christian Science Journal

That God is Love, and that we love Him when we understand Him rightly, was revealed to me through Christian Science. I found my way to this religion in the darkest hour of my life, and the saying (Rom. 8: 28) "All things work together for good to them that love God" came true for me.

Problems of finance and finding living accommodations have been resolved with the help of Christian Science. I have learned always to lean on God's loving care for His children in these things. Through this spiritual adherence my needs have always been met at the right time.

Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. vii): "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I proved this again last year when I became ill—all the symptoms indicated a bad case of flu. As I felt very miserable and the fever did not go down, I asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. He said to me, "Think about the dearest thing you have. It is, I'm sure, your understanding of God. I will help you!" I became happy. To know God was truly the dearest thing I had!
