Fulfilling the Law of Love's Identification

The understanding of true cause and law is fundamental to spiritual progress. Christian Science teaches that we determine the nature of our experience, form our bodies, evolve our universe, by what we know and understand cause and law to be. A friend once told me, "You will always have phenomena—and whether they appear good or bad to you depends upon what you know and put into practice of noumenon."

If we recognize God, good, as the only cause, or noumenon, and spiritual law as the implementation and fulfillment of this one good cause, then the next natural step is to identify ourselves, our fellowman, and our world as the spiritual phenomena of divine Mind or cause. This is building on a firm, scientific foundation.

Law, as set forth by Christ Jesus, was clear and succinct, and when he answered the question of the lawyer as to the greatest commandment in the law, he stipulated having one God and loving one's neighbor as oneself. Then he added, "On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."Matt. 22:40;
