At one time a growth appeared on the side of my head. In my treatment I argued the unreality of this condition. I acknowledged that only ideas originating in divine Mind can be rooted in man's consciousness; that true growth is spiritual, and this manifestation of growth must dissolve. In spite of my efforts, the growth continued to enlarge.
One day I visited a beauty shop, and before I realized what she was doing, the operator was examining the growth. She said, "If I were you, I would have that growth removed. It looks like the kind they say should be removed." Her remarks alerted me to something more. I had not been denying in my metaphysical treatment the world's beliefs and fear of such growths.
I began to realize that this lying belief could have no reality to anyone, because God is the only Mind and He knows creation as harmonious and good. It required no medical surgery to remove the evidence, and there was no law to support its presence. I protested the world's belief about the condition and averred that in reality God's law was operating to govern my life and to remove this belief from consciousness. In just a few days the growth dried up and dropped away.
