Next month in the Journal

From the September 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

An editorial—"Sometimes we suppose that immoral thoughts originate in us—that they belong to us. But they belong to impersonal carnal-mindedness, never to the divine Mind—and never to man reflecting this Mind. An impulse to be dishonest, to cheat, to shoplift, for instance, is an imprisoning impulse. It is not derived from Soul, the source of all moral freedom."

"When the hungering searcher comes to our doors, seeking the Way, do we demand that he accept our personal, cherished views of truth, or do we just love with a Christly, encompassing compassion? Christly love does not judge, or categorize, or label others according to a personal sense of good."

"The only preexistence man has is totally spiritual—his present coexistence with God."
