Opening new fields of receptivity

From the September 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Receptivity to information and truths can be a very appealing concept. (Ask any schoolteacher!) And spiritual receptivity is very appealing—essential, in fact—when it comes to really scaling the heights of truth.

Loving the revelation of Christian Science and finding it indispensable and practical in their own lives, Scientists naturally wish to share it with their relatives and friends, even with all humanity. How can mankind be led to be more receptive to the healing, scientific truths of being? A very compassionate question, and one we should all ask.

There is a Christianly metaphysical way to open receptivity to the immortal facts of being, and we must begin with ourselves. In order to find that way, it's important to start out with God and His nature. God, being eternally omnipresent, is the only Mind and Truth. Being the origin of all intelligence and wisdom, God is omniscient Mind. He includes all true intelligence, activity, and good; He is inseparable from these.
