When he said "Be opened"
did he doubt?
Instead
he walked straight forward
in that eternal line of truth
which, before Abraham,
was there
to deliver
and to save.
It opened then,
it opens now
as we,
pressing on,
walk this same straight line
and, like him,
looking up
and giving thanks
have no doubt.
