I am certain that I was led to Christian Science as a result of prayer, since, as a young child I sought proof that God was indeed present to help us as He did the prophets and devoted followers of His law in Bible times.
My family were introduced to Christian Science through the healing of someone they knew. They were so deeply impressed by it that my mother enrolled my brother and me in the Sunday School of the local branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I still remember the naturalness I felt when I took my place in the class to which I was assigned—no sense of strangeness or shyness.
In attending Sunday School I began to learn the vital importance of honesty, faithful study, and consistent practice of what I understood of the teachings of Christian Science. Since this beginning, countless blessings have come to me— problems have been solved and needs met. And as a natural consequence of attending Sunday School and Wednesday testimony meetings, I later joined the same branch church and The Mother Church, and eventually took class instruction in Christian Science.
